I am a firm believer in personal responsibility. I feel like we should all be diligent in making educated decisions for ourselves. I know – that’s in a perfect world.
You and I both know that society isn’t perfect, so unfortunately a page such as this has become a necessity.
With that being said, let’s get started and cover all the bases in one shot!

I am not a doctor, or any other medical professional for that matter. All information presented on this website should be regarded as opinion based on my experience and research. I will, however, back my statements with studies as often as possible! This information is for educational purposes only and should not be interpreted as medical advice. It is intended to make you THINK! You should always follow up with your own research. I am not diagnosing or prescribing any medical treatment. The information contained on this website is not intended to replace a one-on-one relationship with your doctor or qualified health practitioner… ever.
My statements have not been evaluated by the Food and Drug Administration and the information on this website is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease. This includes any products or natural herbs, trees, mushrooms, fruits, nuts, seeds, etc., etc., I mention throughout this blog. I hope that is clear enough. I am also not a registered dietitian, nutritionist, or health coach dispensing dietary advice. I have not been trained by the U.S. Government or the pharmaceutical industry.

I fully expect that each and every one of you do what I did… research! Tons of it! I always recommend finding multiple sources for the same subject and following the common threads, as well as checking out any related published studies. Your health is 100% YOUR responsibility, whether you are seeing a doctor, nutritionist, or healer. Please, if you get nothing else from this website, get that! It could save your life!
Okay, so this disclaimer wasn’t required, but I wanted to add it. I am not a professional chef! (The sound you hear is my husband’s rolling laughter!) I have been making changes in my own personal diet, and am having to learn new ways of cooking our meals. As I find new ideas and apply them, I would like to share my versions with you! Feel free to adjust and share the recipes as you see fit!

For starters, I only promote products and people that I believe in. Period. I run this website and write my articles because I have a passion to do so. You will never see pop-ups or flashy ads that advertise things that I don’t support!
That being said, since 2009 the FTC has required bloggers to provide disclosures whenever there could be hidden interests or unspoken biases related to recommendations. If I were to interview someone and they picked up our sushi tab, I would have to let you know. If someone was to buy me a free cup of coffee or a strawberry smoothie, you’d need to be told. If I was to receive thank you cards and presents in the mail, or even a large bag of cash… you guessed it, I’d have to disclose that.
This would result in disclaimers all over the place! Not only is that a pain for me, but you would grow weary of seeing them everywhere. So, for the sake of covering disclosure (must follow the rules) and to keep things tidy, please assume the following:
For every product I promote or person I recommend, I received large amounts of cash (or pennies in the case of affiliate links), hugs, free trips, samples, thank you’s, or maybe even a homemade, organic carrot cake if I’m lucky!
